Elizabeth Proctor, a christian woman in the Salem Witch Trials of 1692 in colonial Massachussets who was accused of witchcraft and then hung, the reason she got accused was because Abigail Williams (her maid) who was having an affair with Elizabeth's husband, was jealous and she practically slandered Elizabeth making her involed in the witch plot somehow to get revenge due she fired her and with the hope of keeping John Proctor for herself afterwards.
